Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about using Ochuwa.

Buying Tickets

How do I receive my ticket after payment?

Once your payment is successful, your ticket is generated instantly. You'll receive a confirmation email containing your ticket, QR code, and receipt. If you have an Ochuwa account, you can also access all your tickets from your dashboard.

Can I buy multiple tickets?

Yes. Most events allow multiple ticket purchases in a single transaction. Each ticket is issued with its own unique QR code for secure check-in.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

This depends on the organizer's event settings. If ticket transfers are enabled, you can transfer ownership before the transfer deadline.

What happens if I lose my ticket?

Simply sign in to your Ochuwa account or check your confirmation email to download your ticket again.

Voting & Contests

How does public voting work?

Supporters purchase votes or use free votes (where enabled by the organizer). Votes are recorded instantly and reflected according to the event's configuration.

Can I vote more than once?

Yes, if the organizer allows multiple votes. Some events may limit the number of votes per person or per transaction.

Are votes refundable?

Votes are generally non-refundable because they are counted immediately after payment. Refunds are only considered in cases such as duplicate payments, verified technical errors, or where required by law. Please refer to our Refund Policy for more information.

How do I know my vote was counted?

After a successful payment, you'll receive a confirmation and your vote will be recorded in the event. Depending on the organizer's settings, results may update immediately or after moderation.

Applications & Registrations

How do I apply for a contest or pageant?

Open the event page, select Apply or Register, complete the application form, upload any required documents, and submit your application. The organizer will review your submission before making a decision.

Does submitting an application guarantee selection?

No. Applications are reviewed by the organizer based on the event's requirements and selection process.

Payments

What payment methods are supported?

Depending on the event and your location, payments may be made using bank transfer, debit cards, USSD, mobile banking, or other supported payment methods available during checkout.

Is it safe to make payments on Ochuwa?

Yes. Payments are processed through licensed payment partners using encrypted connections and industry-standard security practices. Ochuwa does not store your full debit or credit card details.

Refunds

Can I get a refund?

Refund eligibility depends on the organizer's refund policy, the type of transaction, and applicable law. Please review the event's refund policy before making a purchase.

What happens if an event is cancelled?

If an event is cancelled, the organizer's refund policy will apply. Where applicable, Ochuwa will assist in processing eligible refunds.
